MIKE GOBBI

Mike Gobbi in 1980 worked for a hard money lender and began selling real estate when a bank asked him what to do with their newly foreclosed homes. He has sold REOs for banks for 4 decades.

As a result he has worked with hundreds of investors, and advised them

Mike has managed real estate offices, a property management companies, and managed hard money portfolios.

In addition to the classes taken, properties sold, investors and institutions advised, he has also owned real estate in CA and outside.

He is frequently speaker and loves advising investors on their real estate options.

JOEL WRIGHT

Joel Wright is passionate about what makes residential real estate work, how markets change and how to make money. Starting in real estate in 2000 after graduating with an M.A. from CSU, Sacramento he is a 3rd generation investor, a 2nd generation agent, and a self described (real estate) market nerd. Owning and operating Wright Real Estate for 15 years gave him a broad depth of knowledge and allowed him to work in many aspects of the residential investing arena.

He has worked as a Court Appointed Receiver for the Department of Justice, with Administrators and Attorneys in Probates, and negotiated with banks representing Sellers of Short Sales.

One of his favorite ways to spend time is learning how markets work; gathering and organizing real estate data. This gives insights into what’s going on and allows Joel’s clients to stay at the front of market trends.

OUT OF STATE INVESTING:

While we still have our own clients Mike and Joel work together advising investors and helping them invest outside of their home state.  Mike had just exchanged his CA properties for other where he could get higher market growth and cash flow, and both knew that a market correction was coming, so they combined their experience to better assist their clients and each other. 

Both started investing outside of our home state in 2004 and continue to this day as part of our personal investment strategies. 

In 2019 we decided to put our efforts together, for while we both have a broad experience, and while agree on the fundamentals, we each have areas of greater focus. 

For example, Mike has 4 decades experience working with bank owned property (REOs) and hard money, and Joel has 2 decades experience working with market data and market trends.

We have physically been to 18 states to preview many Metro Markets to see if they fit our criteria to invest in.   (CA, OR, WA, NM, TX, UT, WY, ID, AL, MI, IN, OH, TN, KY, OK, & NC.)

With the same focus on analysis we took with individual properties, we translated that to understand and qualify metropolitan market areas for investment purposes. 

We have both made money and lost money investing in property in 6 different states, which resulted in a great education on what works and what does not.  CA, ID, MS, MI, IN, TN, (OK?)

Owned different types of res. Props in various conditions, rehabs, and various area with diff types of tenants.  We have loaned money to investors, done flips, worked with retirement accounts

Finally, we found being successful with real estate investing takes a focus on the basics, and time.  We also saw there were areas where investors were making inexperienced decisions that can cost them lots of money.  As a result, Mike and Joel have a passion for sharing what they have found to work, to help clients make informed decisions and skip over potential costly mistakes.
